Fee and costs, 2026

How is EOR Bulgaria pricing put together?

Two numbers decide a Bulgarian hire’s monthly bill. For a typical office role in 2026, the employer adds 18.92% in contributions, applied to at most €2,300 of monthly gross pay (the ceiling since 1 August). Then comes our part, from €599 per employee per month. Pay and contributions pass through at cost; we set the fee.

Cost questions

What do clients ask about price?

How is our fee set?+
Our price begins at €599 per employee per month, the same for a junior or a senior hire. Hristo confirms the exact figure for each person in writing, alongside gross pay, capped contributions and a twelve-month total, before any contract is signed.
Do pay rises push the fee up?+
No. Each employee carries one fixed monthly amount, so a pay rise, a new klas step or a year-end bonus leaves it unchanged. Employer contributions do follow pay, but only up to the ceiling: once gross pay passes €2,300 a month, a higher salary adds no further contributions.
How much do Bulgarian contributions add?+
The employer share in 2026 is 18.92% of gross pay where the work accident rate is 0.4%, rising to 19.62% for activities rated at 1.1%. Contributions stop at a ceiling: €2,111.64 of monthly pay until 31 July, €2,300 from 1 August. For a €40,000 Sofia salary the employer’s contributions total about €4,972 over 2026, an employer cost near €44,972 before our fee.
Which costs carry no margin?+
Gross salary and employer contributions, the occupational health service every Bulgarian employer must use, and anything you choose to add, such as a year-end bonus or private health cover. Remote staff are also owed their equipment, software and internet costs, which we invoice at cost once you approve them.
Do you invoice in euro only?+
Euro. Bulgaria has paid salaries in euro since 1 January 2026 and contracts must state pay in euro, so salary, contributions and our fee all appear in one currency. If your own accounts run in dollars or pounds, the euro amount stays fixed and your bank converts it on payment.
How much notice ends a Bulgarian contract?+
An open-ended contract needs 30 days’ notice from either side, or more if agreed, to a maximum of 3 months; during probation it can end without notice. Notice not served is paid in lieu. A staff reduction adds compensation of up to one month’s gross, unused leave is paid out, and a mutual termination the employer proposes costs at least 4 months’ gross. The terms of our own service agreement are set out in your quote.
